The National Academy for State Health Policy is seeking policy specialists to join the Washington, DC office. Successful candidates will have significant health policy knowledge; strong analytic, writing and project planning and organization skills and experience; and ability to work with state officials, other stakeholders and National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) staff to successfully carry out work consistent with our mission of promoting excellence in state health policy and practice. The work involves policy research and analysis, and providing technical assistance and facilitating peer-to- peer learning among states. As a member of NASHP project teams, the successful candidates will address state health policy issues such as children’s coverage, enrollment and retention in coverage, health care reform, and access to care and the health care safety net. Some out of state travel may be required.
Specific responsibilities include:

Attendance
• Take attendance daily
• Enter attendance daily into PowerSchool
• Make daily attendance phone calls to absent students and log into PowerSchool
• Make phone calls to students who have 5 tardies (each time) and log into PowerSchool
• Give admin daily attendance/attendance phone call update
• Send home attendance letters on a weekly basis (10, 15, 18 absences letters and 20, 30, 40 plus tardy letters)
• Give admin weekly attendance update
• Enter attendance into OLAMS on a weekly basis
• Do monthly attendance audits of PowerSchool, OLAMS, and Paychecks
Enrollment
• Distribute new students for KOT groups
• Manage KOT process for teachers
• Enter new 5th graders demographic information into PowerSchool when applications come in
• Get student records for new or transfer students by the start of school in the fall

POSITION: Director of EPT

The Director of Employment, Plus & Transitions is responsible for the overall design, management and effectiveness of GWArc's Employment, Plus and Transitions programs and services. The Program Director will develop, implement and evaluate all necessary administrative, program and staff systems; oversee facility maintenance and community relationships. These services emphasize individualized training strategies and supports, and consumer input and independence.

S/he will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of positive relationships with host companies and funding sources for BIS mail and all EPT programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in human services, business/marketing or a related field, w/minimum of 5 years experience in human services/employment services and/or business industry; must have supervisory experience. Master?s Degree Preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of MR/DD population and community service system. Current driver license and car. Excellent organizational, communication, coordination and leadership skills. Able to effectively develop and lead a team and able to work as part of a GWArc Management Team. Experience Marketing, Production and Customer Relations.

JOB SUMMARY: To assist consumers to participate and benefit from Day Education Programs through the implementation of individualized programs plans, interventions, work training routines (when applicable) and other scheduled program activities in a variety of therapeutic environments. To enhance consumer's independence, dignity, safety, personal and self care activities. To support the Program Supervisors with implementing the day-to-day operations of the Program. Ability to implement multiple Behavior Modification Plans/individualized interventions/programs in a variety of settings/environments. Commitment to community inclusion and upholding the human rights and dignity of people with disabilities, flexibility and responsive to a variety of requests. Good time management, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of sub-contract work a plus. Ability to meet deadlines, production and paperwork requirements. Vehicle and driver?s license required.
